Livin' Large and keeping rock alive. He writes all of his own songs and then plays guitar, bass. drums and even plays keys on some of the tunes. Did we mention he engineers and produces his own stuff as well?
Born and raised in Windsor, Ontario, Canada, just across the river from Detroit, Michigan, also known as Motown. He was not a stranger to great music. Having a jazz vocalist for a mother and two brothers that were also great musicians wasn't so bad either. He picked up the guitar at the age of thirteen and by the time he was seventeen, Drew was in a popular local rock act playing high schools and parties. At nineteen he got on tour with an act touring Canada and the U.S. A couple years later Drew Browne joined forces with his brothers, Scott and Jamie, to start Canada's first Van Halen tribute act, booked and managed out of Toronto. Panama was the name. They toured and kicked ass for a couple years and then parted ways. Living in Toronto at the time he made my way to the States. First Arizona, then San Diego, then San Francisco, now in Vancouver British Columbia, he is still writing and recording. Drew uses a Pro Tools studio where his songs come alive. He has had the pleasure of working with famed producer Narada Michael Walden, Neal Schon of Journey's band Hardline during an England tour, Ted Nugent, Kim Mitchell, Nazareth, Jeff Watson of Night Ranger, Josh Ramos of (Hardline, The Storm, Rikki Martin, Enrique Eglasias, and Manuto). He will continue to persue his music and strive to be the best he can be in all aspects of his life. To evolve as a musician and singer is one of his most sincere wishes in life and Drew hopes the same for all other artists who follow their passion and art. "If you take the time to listen to my music I thank you and hope all your dreams come true. Stay cool and stay in touch. You can never have too many friends." Drew Browne |
